Coronation earrings

Red and white are often associated with royalty and these earrings would feel at home during a coronation. Deep red faceted garnets and lustrous white freshwater pearls come together with gold vermeil beads while gold-filled French ear wires, beads, and wire complete the look. The earrings hang approximately 1.75 inches.

Garnets were inlaid in gold in the cloisonne technique and can be seen in the Sutton Hoo treasures and the Staffordshire Hoard in England. Garnets are believed to endow the wearer with a light heart, loyalty, and unchanging affections.
