These sparkling gold earrings evoke images of exotic lands. A bright green sparkling peridot drop nestles within a fancy gold vermeil frame. Diminutive gold-filled beads add movement and gold-filled French ear wires finish the look. These earrings hang approximately 1.75 inches.
As late as the 16th century peridots from Zabargad were so precious that an Ottoman sultan’s favorite throne was covered in them. Peridot has been used as a talisman to protect the wearer.
