Description
Welcome the awakening of spring with this necklace. From the palest green amethyst to the deeper hues of peridot, prehnite, vesuvianite, and freshwater pearls, one feels as if a new season has begun. A fancy bail holds a faceted prehnite nugget and dangles of peridot, freshwater pearl and a handmade Fine silver charm. A few Swarovski crystal beads amp up the sparkle. Chain and a handmade S-shaped clasp completes this necklace which hangs approximately 21 inches. All components except the charm are Sterling silver.
To make a set, consider pairing the necklace with the Filigree earrings with peridot or the Woodland earrings.
If green isn’t your thing, you can find similar necklaces in orange (Autumn Splendor necklace) and blue (Winter Splendor necklace).
As late as the 16th century peridots from Zabargad were so precious that an Ottoman sultan’s favorite throne was covered in them. Peridot has been used as a talisman to protect the wearer.
Prehnite has been used by Shamanistic religions in South Africa for thousands of years, but it was only described to Western scholars in the 1780s. The properties of prehnite are extremely beneficial for memory, recollection, and peace, and can be of great use to almost any user.
